I Saw U See

I am drawn to the quiet intervals within the urban rush—those brief instances when individuals suddenly turn inward: a pause at a doorway, a lean against a window, or a momentary rest in a chair. These "arrested moments" possess a vivid, silent energy that I seek to crystallize and sustain through my work.

Working primarily with oil and pastel, I translate this intangible energy into structured visual forms. Each medium serves a distinct purpose: color functions as a vessel for vitality, oil builds a sense of layered depth, and pastel preserves the raw immediacy of the initial observation. My compositions evolve through a rigorous process of repetition and variation. Forms meet along narrow, deliberate edges, generating a rhythmic tension that mirrors the delicate balance of our internal lives.

In my practice, outward stillness and inner movement are synthesized into a single, cohesive structure. By exploring the point where these two states intersect, my work invites the viewer to find connection and extension across the surface, transforming a solitary inward moment into a collective experience of being.
